Good Times with Good Friends

We have been so blessed to have made some amazing friends here in Provo. A couple weeks ago we got to get together with our buddies the Coopers who are now in Idaho. It was so much fun! We lived next door to the Coopers for a year and love their kids like they are our own. We kind of like Brett and Dianna too :) Anyway, it was a great couple of hours and thanks Coops for meeting up with us!
Crew was very excited about meeting with the Coopers. Look at that face!
Why is it so hard to get everyone smiling or even looking at the camera? Anyway, Di was two weeks from her due date and man did she look great!

Well, I really don't know how to explain this other than he must take after his dad with those loose lips! Brielle is a good catch though!

San Diego

I don't have all the pictures yet from our trip but here is a taste of how much fun we had in San Diego last week. We left super early Friday morning drove first to South Pasadena to check out our new apartment. I must say I will miss my little duplex here in Provo. It has been so perfect! But our new apartment will be great too. We really love the area and look forward to creating lots of memories there over the next couple years. (By the way, we are moving Aug. 1st if anyone was wondering)

From there, we joined the rest of California in rush hour traffic and headed down to San Diego to my sister Maren's. It was a brutal end to our already long drive but it was so good to get to Maren's. Crew was in heaven with all of Carson's choo choos and trucks! They actually got along really well and we look forward to living closer to them. This is Carson and Crew getting ready for bed. We spent the morning and part of the afternoon with the Reese's enjoying walks to Jamba juice and swimming. Then we packed up and headed out to Encinitas to meet up with Matt's family. We got to spend an entire week with all of Matt's family. It was so much fun. Crew really loved having so many cousins around and of course having Katherine and Grandma around. We did lots of beach days. Here are a few pics of the beach. This is Crew and Samantha getting down and dirty in the sand.

Matt is starting Crew early with his surfing skills.

Look at that face! Grandma and bubbles are an excellent combination!
Wednesday we went to Balboa Park. I haven't been there for so long, but it was really fun! We met Maren and Carson there too and took a couple rides on the train and the merry-go-round.
Crew loved both rides and was saying "Whoo whoo" as we rode the choo choo.

We did have to say goodbye to Katherine there since she and Devin were taking off to Seatle. We have loved having her up in Provo with us the past three years and are scheming some way to get her to Pasadena. But we really will really miss her being so close.
The morning of the 4th, Matt and I organized a family run at Encintas Ranch (thanks Whit and Wade for all the help!) It was really fun and such a pretty run. We even had shirts made to make it official.

Baylor was the big winner! He is 11 and smoked us! Becky and I rounded out the top three. I will have to post more pics later of the race but it was a great start to our day.

That night we went to see fireworks but unfortunately a dense fog came in and we could barely see anything! It was kind of a bummer but we still had a great day. All in all it was a fun trip and we loved being with all the Allens!
