1-2-3 Renegades!

Crew had his first official soccer game last Saturday. Oh man, it was hilarious! He looked so cute all decked out in his soccer gear and had so much fun. Here he is warming up.
It was a little chilly when we started, 8:00 every week! Yikes! Seriously though, he looked so cute!
This age is so fun to watch. Most of the kids just move in a pack around the ball. Crew has watched a lot of soccer games of our friends Jake and Abby and it surprised me that he wouldn't stay with the pack the entire time (although some of the time he was dancing or spacing off). He did have a couple of really good plays. Here is one play where he played a great little defender and made a break down the field.

Here is another play he made. He actually ran this one back for a goal. Man did he feel so awesome!

And, his favorite part of every practice and game, 1-2-3 Renegades!
So much fun and can't wait until next week!

One of my biggest fears....

Is scorpions! I hate them. I'm terrified of them. They are so disgusting and creepy. A couple weeks ago I was coming in from the garage and notice something moving on the ground. I knew immediately what it was. His tail was going up and down but he wasn't moving so I was pretty sure he was dying. Still, not good. Of course I call my dad right away and he came straight home to rescue us (pathetic that I can't even get rid of a dead scorpion, I know). How did I survive growing up around these little beasts and how in the world can I live here with my own children when I can't even get within 3 feet of them?

Happy Birthday Becky!

The day after the fundraising event was Becky's birthday. They came over that evening and we felt pretty special to get to celebrate with her two nights in a row. Although, we know the main reason for the second visit was to see the kiddos, not us ;) Matt and the birthday girl

Crew succored Grandma into a couple games of Candyland.

We love you Grandma!

Clark Richter- Mr. Emcee

The last weekend in January, my dad was asked to Emcee a funding raising gala for the City of Mesa Arts Center. My mom was out of town on business, so Matt and I were the lucky ones to attend the extravagant event! It was so much fun and I loved being able to see my dad in action up on the stage. Matt's parents got to come with us for Becky's birthday date and we had a great night. Of course, I didn't bring my camera, which truly is a shame. But it was fun to get all dressed up and enjoy a fun night. Another bonus of the night, Matt and I won a raffle! The basket has tickets to the Ballet, Shakespeare and a hair salon gift package. Sweet!

Great job Dad! We are proud of you!

The Phoenix Zoo

First of all, I am going to warn you in advance, you may see a lot of zoo pictures over the next four months. My kids love it, and we got a season pass so we are making the most of it! But, that being said, it is a pretty good little zoo. We went a week or so ago and there are just a couple of pictures I had to share. This little monkey needs a cage!
Crew met a little friend while we were there. Isn't he funny!
And then Crew got to do a camel ride again. Lucky boy!
We were suppose to have Crew's first soccer game this Saturday but it has been canceled because of the cold weather (only in Arizona do they cancel sporting events because the weather is in the 30's!). Honestly, I don't mind too much since he game was at 8 am and it would have been pretty chilly for the Grahamster. Hopefully next week!

Goodbye Photo

I am posting this more for my own record keeping than for viewing pleasure, but here we are saying goodbye to our little life in South Pasadena. We are wet from the rain, red faced and splotchy from crying (mostly me I guess) but we sure have some great memories in this little apartment!

The Richter Family- November 2010

I know this is very late, but last Thanksgiving we had family pictures taken with the whole Richter gang and it was so mcuh fun. I didn't see how they turned out for a while with the move and all but here is a little sample for your viewing pleasure :)

I sure do love this family especially when we are all together!
