Then onto San Diego

After Disney, we drove down to San Diego and spent the next day with the Holyoaks and the day after that with Maren. Deacon and Crew digging at the beach.
They actually got along pretty well and Deacon is so stinking cute!

Wednesday night Kendria made us a delicious dinner and we ate it on top of the roof . It was a gorgeous view and of course wonderful weather!

Brandon and Kendria, our chefs for the evening
The next morning we drove out to La Jolla Shores to meet Maren and Cam. It was a fantastic beach day and Crew now tells me at least once a day "beach". He had a blast!

Carson getting burried and Crew taking a break from digging. Yes, I know, Crew is a white boy!

Crew absolutely loves Carson's house! Carson has the most toys I have ever seen, thanks to his grand parents, and Crew loves them all! He is in heaven there and it is nice that he and Carson kind of play the same things sometimes.

Of course we were the most excited to meet Parker! He is so small and sweet and looks just like Carson did as a baby except for his nose. These pictures kept downloading the wrong direction but you can still see how cute he is.

We spent the night there Thursday then drove back home Friday late morning. It was so nice to only have a two hour drive from Maren's instead of 10! We had a great week and thanks to the Holyoaks and Reese's for everything!

Disney's California Adventure

Last Tuesday we got to meet up with our friends the Holyoaks who were visiting California from Denver. We spent the day at California Adventure and had a blast!
Isn't it amazing how Disneyland makes you feel like a kid again? We took turns being kids and riding rides or being the adults and watching the kids.

Crew is getting close to the age where he can really enjoy this place. But even being a little young, he still was pretty excited about things.

We took him on a couple of rides and he was so funny. He really tried to be brave and enjoy it by clapping and saying little "Whoos" but his face wasn't totally convincing.

Ahh, but water is definitely one of Crew's favorite things! He was totally soaked within minutes.

Even coming to and from Disneyland is exciting because we got to ride the tram or "Choo choo"

I love this picture!

Welcome to Pasadena

Well, actually we are in South Pasadena but it is pretty much the same thing. We are slowing getting settled and I think it is taking so long because we have already been playing so much! Matt's school starts on the 25th so we have been trying to really enjoy our three weeks to play. But this area is so beautiful and we are really enjoying getting to know our way around. Does this house look familar? The Father of the Bride was filmed about a mile from our apartment and yes, it feels just as cozy and perfect in real life as it does on the big screen!
Another famous home only about a quarter mile from us is Bill Gate's father's home in National Treasure. That was harder to explain than I thought but did you get that?
We have definitely been hitting the beach. Manhattan beach and Malibu are two beaches close to here that we have gone to. Crew loves it and Matt is loving having an ocean closer too.
Remember a few months ago when I mentioned Matt was making a board? Well, he finished it and against his will I am posting a picture because I am really amazed at what he created and it was fun to see him take it out on its "maiden voyage" Luckily it floats! And he also got to catch some pretty good rides on it too.Crew sitting back and soaking in some sun. Let's be honest, he needs it!

Something new Crew is into is "dip" He loves Ranch dressing and this is a picture of him after licking his plate clean. Now we just need to get him to eat the veggies that you are suppose to dip in it!

Saying goodbye

After we left our apartment clean and empty, we stayed the night in Orem at our family friends the Henry's. They have an amazing backyard and we just spent some time enjoying the company of our dear friends the Brutsch's. We love them and miss them but are so lucky to have them!

The boys: Matt, Crew, Ben and Cason

One happy boy and his shovel!

The whole gang, tired and dirty from moving day but happy to be together!

The Big Move

Sorry it has been so long but we just got our internet this afternoon and so I have a lot to catch up on. I will do it in shifts but let me start with the big moving day. I uploaded these in reverse order so we will start with the end. Matt's mom and my dad came up to help us with our move. Here is the last picture of us in front of our little home in Provo. Oh was it a sad day and hard to leave a place where so many sweet memories were created. But we are soooo grateful for the years we had there and know we are on to make more in the next chapter of our lives!
Um, yes, this is our moving truck! Amazing huh!?! So blame it on Last Chance or just having a lot of storage, we have way too much stuff! Matt and my dad where somehow able to pack almost everything into our 16 foot moving truck and the Brutsch's were nice enough to keep a few things there for us. But talk about packed!
Another shot with one of the proud packers and the official truck driver of our move.
Crew was really excited about the truck! This is the beginning of the move.
Crew was so good during all our moving. You will see more later but he knew something was going on but just kind of played quietly entertaining himself on whatever was left to play with!
I really didn't set this up. Crew has become an avid reader of the Reader's Digest. He really will just go sit down on the couch and pick it up! Probably because he has been so bored while I pack. What a good boy though!

This is what I usually walk in on.
Crew would also entertain himself with all the boxes. Eating snacks and playing with his trucks.
This was one really long afternoon for him so I let him watch a show on his little tv. What a sad face. Someone let this kid go run around outside!
This is a much happier face! Just like his mama, Crew loves fugsicles.
