Turkey Day and More

Before we get to Thanksgiving weekend I must post just a few other pictures from the past few weeks. My little G loves to play in my bathroom. He could spend hours up there and frequently does. This time I managed to catch him in action, just about to eat the soup (strange kid!)
Crew finished his second soccer season a couple weeks ago. He absolutely loved it and his awesome trophy.

But even more than his trophy, Crew loved his soccer friends and coaches. Sad that soccer is over but now we get to look forward to baseball! The weekend before Thanksgiving we made a quick day trip over to our beloved Pasadena. Look at the excitement in their faces! :) This is just a cute face!

It was so good to see so many of our friends and their darling kiddos. Pasadena is absolutely gorgeous this time of year so if was fun to be back for a little while. Graham and Jake

I decided to take Graham to the Dr. Tuesday morning because he had been snotty and coughing for a week. Turns out he a double ear infection and bronchitis! Great right? We started him on antibiotics right away but he still struggled for most of the last week. On top of a sick little boy, I caught a pretty intense sinus cold but I still packed up and drove the boys out to Arizona Wednesday morning. It was a little rough with Graham sick and Matt missing but we made it. We were all very excited to be there!

Crew and his cousin Remy are such good little buddies

A gorgeous day in Arizona

Matt had to stay in California for Thanksgiving because he had to work Friday. Lucky for him, My sister Maren invited him over for Thanksgiving dinner so Matt spent Thanksgiving with my family and I spent Thanksgiving with his family! Thank goodness we all get along so well:) Here is a picture of Matt's Nonny and Poppy with some of the cousins.

Crew and our friend Oakly found a quiet spot to play hungry hippo under the computer desk. Friday we made a quick visit to my parents house before picking Matt up at the airport. My parents have been remodeling their kitchen and front room. It has been quite the process but it is looking gorgeous! That night we had a little party for Dave's 60th Birthday. He is really going to appreciate me posting the next couple pictures:)

Matt and Michael provided some birthday entertainment Which was very well received! Graham and his "Gumpa" Matt with our nephews Baylor and Gunner who are getting way too big! Two of my cute boys And my other one More of our wonderful cousins We drove home Sunday and were greeted by our front tree turning colors. I love any hint of fall I can get! Now Graham and I just need to get over our blasted colds and get ready for Christmas! Happy Thanksgiving!

Just a Teaser

Well, despite colds, ear infections and bronchitis, we still made it to Arizona for a very wonderful Thanksgiving. I have lots more pictures to come but until I have time to post them, enjoy a couple pictures of our darling new niece Clara Emily! Definitely worth the trip just to meet this sweet baby!

Baby Drew

We are very, very excited to have two new cousins join our family over the last few weeks. Matt's sister Katherine brought beautiful little Clara into the world on October 25th and my sister Maren had handsome little Drew on November 9th. Oh do we love babies! We have to wait another week to go meet Clara but we are lucky enough to live closer to Maren so last Friday we headed down to meet baby Drew. What a sweet little guy!
We spent a lot of time doing this...(Graham loves babies as much as his mama)

and lots of time playing with the boys. For those of you who do not know, my parents now have 5 grand sons and 0 grand daughters. It is actually quite fun because they all get along fantastically. My mom and I took the boys out for a few hours to give Maren a break. Nothing like a McDonald's picnic and the park on a fine autumn day!

So, I have pretty much convinced myself that my next baby will be a boy too (not making any announcements) and that Christian will have the first girl if not all the girls. But, we sure do love our boys and LOVED getting to be with Drew for a day!

Kind of Scary Halloween

This Halloween was fun but also kind of rough. I really didn't get any good pictures of the boys in their costumes or trick or treating. Thankfully, regardless of how rough I felt Halloween went, the boys still ended up absolutely loving it and had lots of candy to show for it.

Here is my little Crewbot. I wish the pictures did it justice. Matt gets all the credit for this costume and it was a total hit! Everywhere he went people raved about it. The funny thing is Crew doesn't really like getting a lot of attention so after a while when people would tell him they liked his costume, Graham started saying thanks! It was hilarious.
We borrowed a monkey suit for Graham and he loved it for the ward Trunk or Treat party. That night was part one of a crazy Halloween. I was a big part of setting up the whole night and Matt had to work that night so he couldn't come at all. To top it off, Mr. G decided to forgo a nap which meant I was alone with a cranky toddler, an excited four year old and hundreds of kids! It all turned out great but Graham and I were both exhausted by the time we got home that night!

Out of order but we did find some time to carve pumpkins Saturday night

As for Halloween, I woke up that morning with a touch of the flu. Great huh! I wasn't sure what time Matt would be home and knew I couldn't miss taking the boys trick or treating so we had a very mellow day. Poor kids. Halloween and nothing super fun all day long! Graham again refused a nap but finally asked for milk and to sit in Grandpa's chair about 5. Two seconds later he was out. I let him sleep until about 5:45 when I was finishing feeding Crew and starting to get ready for trick or treating. He was mad! Very Mad! For a LONG time! I kept getting Crew ready despite the horrible screams coming from our house...

And took a few quick pictures despite the horrible screams coming from our house...

And that is when the camera went away. Some brave trick or treaters came to our door, despite the horrible screaming and suddenly Graham got happy. He passed out candy and then decided he wanted to do it too, but not in the monkey suit. So, Crewbot, the Terrible Almost Two Year Old and I were about to leave for trick or treating when dad came home. Hooray! I didn't feel great but couldn't miss the night so we met up with some friends and hit the neighborhood. The kids had a blast. Graham was especially funny and Crew looked so awesome lighting the way in his costume. Then we came home to survey the goods.

And there was plenty of them.

So even though I was sick and the boys had the most boring day ever, they still had a fantastic time tick or treating which made Halloween as a success.
