Taking Home the Trophy

Crew had his last soccer game a couple weeks ago. Soccer has been so good for Crew. He had a few little rough patches in the season, but came out loving soccer and growing so much. Here is Graham warming up before the game. Now THIS kid can dribble! And Crew scoring his first goal of the game.

After the second

After the game, Graham helped Grandpa water the yard. He takes this chore very seriously.

But he will take an occasional break to kiss Grandma

Here he is climbing a ladder. This boy is a serious monkey. He can climb anything and DOES. The other day I found him on my parents computer desk playing with scissors. Great mom, huh?

Later that afternoon we had Crew's soccer party. This was the moment he has been waiting for since he signed up for soccer...getting his first trophy!

Oh he was so excited and carried it around with him for days until it started breaking. Now it sits proudly on his night stand.

Great job Crew boy! We love you!

All Aboard...

I need to catch up on some of our recent events... a couple weeks ago, Alyssa and I took our kids over to visit their great grandpa and grandma Riggs. It was so much fun to visit with them! Here are the kids with G and G Riggs.
I love Graham and Grandma Riggs in this picture.

Crew and Talli had a blast playing in the back yard. These two can be such great buddies when they want to be ;)

Another huge highlight of the week was getting to meet the real Olson twins! Jenny and her darling boys stopped by and oh are they so sweet! It was so great to finally meet these sweet boys and I just wanted to hold them all day. So precious! It was great to see Jenny and her mom too ;) It was cloudy and rainy a couple days recently. I LOVE days like this. Clouds make the sky so dramatic. The boys busted out the styrophome airplane again since conditions were perfect for flying. Only a few minor crashes.

And we finished the week with a morning at the train park. We brought Crew's buddy Grant with us and had a fantastic morning.

In the animal cart of the train

Truly where they belong

It was so fun to see how much Graham loved this place, although he seems pretty serious in the picture

It is Official...

We are excited to announce Matt has accepted a position in Temecula, California. After I tell most people where we are going, they usually next ask "Where is that?" We will be about an hour Northeast of downtown San Diego, or 30-40 minutes inland from Oceanside (as seen on the map)

Matt will start in June after he takes his boards. Not only will he be a full time physical therapist, but he will also have the opportunity to do an orthopedic residency there as well. We are excited about the opportunity and look forward to our next adventure!

Conference Weekend

I love conference weekend. Honestly, who doesn't. The time spent as family, the inspiration from church leaders, and picking grapefruit with cows... at least those were the highlights from this past conference weekend. After a great Saturday morning session, we headed out to the west side to spend the rest of the weekend with Matt's parents. We started off with a favorite Allen spring tradition, picking grapefruit with the cows. Here we are setting out to pick. Nothing unusual, just a great orchard. Grandma and Graham with their hair blowing in the wind. That's right, Graham has enough hair to blow in the wind!
Crew climbing trees
Matt and I teamed up to get some of the higher grapefruit
And then the cows realized it was feeding time
Seriously, I can never get over how strange it is to see cows eating grapefruit. They are so big and get so close!
Graham loves cows from the safety of Grandma's arms
Crew was a little nervous at first too.
This one kept wanting to be my friend. Cute little guy just too much snot and slobber!
See ya next year boys!
Afternoon session was also great.
Crew draws and colors for hours at a time these days so he kept himself busy during conference.
Cute boy
While the men went to the Priesthood session, Becky and I took the boys out on their electric car and then enjoyed a fantastic sunset!
Graham finally took a nap at 5pm and so I only let him sleep 15 minutes. But he was still up and wanting to play with Grandpa at 10pm!
Then of course he was up at 6am! Luckily, he fell asleep on the couch just in time for the morning session so we got to listen to all of that session as well. Poor tired guy.
What a great weekend!
