Saturday was a perfect day to wrap up a weekend of gratitude. Yes, BYU did beat Utah, but that was just the icing on the cake. The experiences we have had the past four years at BYU have truly blessed our lives and being in LaVell Edwards Stadium for the last time cheering on Matt was a day I will never forget.
It is not always easy sharing your husband with thousands of fans but it has been fun to have so many people love someone you love!
The game, as expected, was intense and the win came down to under a minute! BYU pulled out a win and the stadium went crazy! We were already down on the field because of senior day but it was so cool to watch the stands around us pour onto the field. My parents, Matt's parents and his sister Katherine were all there to celebrate and even Crew came at the end. (Thanks Tyler and Rebecca for all your help this season!)
With this win, BYU won the Mountain West Conference Chamionship and now we are just waiting to hear what bowl game we go to. The scene was a little much for Crew but Cosmo seemed to calm him down a bit!
It was a wonderful way to end his football experience at BYU. We will really miss this next year but are so grateful for the people we have met and the memories we have made. Go Cougars!

Christmas Tree Adventure
So Christmas is coming early in the Allen home because the weekend we usually cut down our Christmas tree is the weekend the San Diego State game was rescheduled for. So the Brutsch's were kind enough to hold our annual tree cutting adventure a few weeks earlier. This year was so much different than the three prior years we've down this, mostly because there wasn't snow up to our waistes, but this turned out to be a good thing with the little guys.
We stomped around in the woods for a while but within a hour or so we both found our perfect trees and the festivities began! This has been such a fun tradition and we have to thank Ben and Lauren for getting it started! Cason and Crew had a blast and Crew loved walking around and picking up sticks. He is such a mountain man! Hopefully wherever we end up next year we can keep this alive. Thanks Brutsch's!
