Christmas Tree Adventure

So Christmas is coming early in the Allen home because the weekend we usually cut down our Christmas tree is the weekend the San Diego State game was rescheduled for. So the Brutsch's were kind enough to hold our annual tree cutting adventure a few weeks earlier. This year was so much different than the three prior years we've down this, mostly because there wasn't snow up to our waistes, but this turned out to be a good thing with the little guys.
We stomped around in the woods for a while but within a hour or so we both found our perfect trees and the festivities began! This has been such a fun tradition and we have to thank Ben and Lauren for getting it started! Cason and Crew had a blast and Crew loved walking around and picking up sticks. He is such a mountain man! Hopefully wherever we end up next year we can keep this alive. Thanks Brutsch's!

Thanks Brutsch's for a fun and festive day!

That's so great you were able to get the Christmas tree cutting done. I can't believe how fast time flies. That's great your parents came to visit. I have just always loved your mom. Crew is a handsome little man.

What a fun tradition! I swear, Utah has so many fun things to do. I guess in AZ you could have a Cactus Tree Adventure and decorate the cactus with stuff. Might get a little bloody though. JK! I'm glad you had fun!

That is so much fun! I've never actually cut a Christmas tree down. Where do you do that at? You'll have to let me know. About the Turkey Trot, it sounds like so much fun, but I'm gonna be up in Park city with my family so I probably won't make it, but have fun and have a great Thanksgiving!

Shannon, cute blog! Your little boy is cute. When was he born? I saw you at Stake Conference (when you were sustained) with your little guy. I hope that all is going well for you. Come check out our blog!

Gee, it's been like 15 years that we've been friends and I'm STILL correcting your spelling!! :) Okay so two minor mistakes, you spelled Christmas wrong in your post title and Kendria wrong in your links. But it really made me smile to see that because I remember thinking that the ONLY thing that I could ever "one-up" you on in our friendship was spelling because you are good at everything you do! Anyway, it's cute!

How fun! I wish we lived in snow just for that sort of thing. Well, I guess you don't need the snow to make it happen...but the trees are a must. Cactus and orange tress just don't cut it...:-)
