Spring Break with the Richters

We just finished two weeks of spring break. Can you believe it? Two Weeks! We stayed very busy though with lots of fun with special visitors. The first few days we dog sat our neighbor dog Bruce. My boys LOVED it! I really do love animals, especially Bruce, but I was glad when our doggy duties were over. It was really fun though.
My parents came into town for conference weekend. They never stay long so we always pack in the fun. They stayed at Maren's Friday night so we met them Saturday morning at some Strawberry fields near our home. Everyone loved it!

Graham asked for a picture with the tractor

Isn't it so cool how they grow these strawberries?

We picked $16 worth of strawberries and ummm were they fantastic! We they hit up a tasty diner nearby and then spent the rest of our day playing in between conference sessions. My boys LOVED having grandma and grandpa all to themselves.

Sunday we headed down to Maren's for our little family Easter party. Of course, all the kids were together which means the yellow suitcase comes out in all its glory... just look at the look on Crew's face!

My parents blow me away with all the fun they are able to create. There were traditional things like egg dying

Maren with crazy Parker and precious Drew

And of course an egg hunt

But then they come up with things like "peep" ball which of course was a smashing hit:)

And what Easter party would be complete without a bunny hop race

These were some very happy but crazy bunnies! Around 4, my parents headed to the airport and the boys and I headed home, completely wasted!

Monday Maren and her boys came up for the day. It was a beautiful day so we thought we should go "exploring." It was a hit. Look at these boys all lined up in a row.

We had lunch and played around the house before they headed back home. Then it was time for us to get ready for round two of visitors. The Allens came later that week so stay tuned for pics of their fantastic visit!

Go Diamondbacks!

Alright, to be completely honest, baseball may be one of my least favorite sports. There are long periods of absolutely nothing happening and it is way too individually focused and competitive. But that being said, there is absolutely nothing cuter than little boys playing baseball, especially Crew. He makes the game a little more entertaining by dancing in the outfield and looking super adorable in a baseball cap. So for the next three months, I will be a baseball fan (but I really am more excited for soccer to start up again!)

Can you believe they make these kids (4-5 yr olds) hit from a pitching machine that throws at 35 miles per hour! Crew has actually done quite well but his hands vibrated for 5 minutes after his first couple hits:)

The dance moves I was talking about

We do love the DBacks!

The Rod Run(Or quite possibly, the Crew show)

Yesterday morning our little family headed over to Old Town for a hot-rod show. It was a beautiful morning and a major hit with the boys! I will only display a selection of the photos we took because Crew wanted his picture with at least 50 of the cars! I have a serious poser on my hands!

The owner saw the boys checking out this car and let them sit inside! He of course regretted it when Graham started playing with the clutch!

Fantastic way to start a Saturday

Matt Turns 30!

I know what you are thinking, "Really? He doesn't look a day over 28!" But it is true and sadly, I am not far behind him! But turning 30 is definitely something to celebrate and we were so thrilled that Matt's brother Michael and his family came to party with us! They drove over Thursday and we partied hard all weekend long!

Ashley and Sydney

Friday the boys surfed early and then met us for a full day of SeaWorld. Syd is hilarious and kept us laughing all weekend long!

Taylor and Crew

My handsome birthday boy!
Saturday we hit the beach. Syd kept Sarah busy but the other kids entertained themselves!
