While Mom's Away...

My wonderful mother came and spent the entire week with my boys so I could go to Girl's Camp this past week. I am not really sure where all her energy comes from because she went nonstop with these boys the entire week. Maren brought her up Monday morning with her boys and they all had a grand old time in Temecula that day. First on the agenda was water fights at the end of our cul-de-sac. A big hit.

Then it was off to the blueberry farm

I think they are starting to look tired in this picture
Tuesday morning they got up and met Maren and her boys at the Wildlife Zoo

My dad had gone over to Catalina Island with the scouts in his ward for high adventure but snuck over for a quick visit on his way home. He spent the night with Mom, Matt and the boys Tuesday and then went with  my mom and the boys to meet Maren for a hike in Torrey Pines and a cool day on the coast.

Thursday mom went back to Maren's to swim with the boys and then they headed home to get ready for their mama to get back.
I pulled up just as the were finishing putting up the sign. Any one who has gone to girls camp knows how exhausted you are when you get back. On top of very little sleep, we had done an amazing 10.5 mile hike that day too. When I pulled up and saw my three sweet boys and my sign I totally started crying (blame it on the exhaustion). I was only home long enough to shower and soak up as many hugs and kisses as I could in 45 minutes then I headed back to the church for the closing of camp. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to be at Girl's Camp. It is truly an inspired event.
Please excuse my appearance. Like I said- it had been a long day!
The next morning we headed down to San Diego to take my mom to the airport. We got there a little early so that we could spend some time by the harbor. Love this place.

And since it was a gorgeous day, we spent the rest of the afternoon outside playing baseball and riding bikes. Check G out his bike. He is really starting to get the hang of it!
What a week. Again a majorly huge thanks to my mom who completely wore my kids out, kept up on all the laundry and cleaning, and made me feel so at ease being away for the week. I also must thank Matt for going without a car all week and helping so much with the boys too.  I am so blessed!

This week the boys and I can catch up on our sleep! We had a great adventure together...and they were so good. Matt was equally good! It was fun to watch him use his father skills. Plus he is just great company! Love you!

Such darling pictures of all the boys with your Mom!! Crew and Graham look truly frightened in the picture where all the boys are on the Rhino(?). ANd I think your knee-socks may just be the next runway fashion statement copied by designers!!! Great!
