Part 2

Sunday evening we drove out to Point Loma. It was a great Sunday evening just a little sunny on the drive with the setting sun. Good thing moms had their sunglasses ready.
Point Loma is a really cool place. We went to Sunset Cliffs to explore. There were some people fishing off the cliffs and one of them caught a baby shark! I missed the shot of Crew petting him but it was pretty cool! Cam asked Crew if it felt slimy like a hot dog and Crew said "no, it felt like a shark." Guess he is more of a literal guy.

Exploring the tide pools

It was a picture perfect moment with the sun kind of behind some clouds. If we could just get them all to smile at the same time for just a second....

Nope, the sun came back out. Time to escape
These boys can't get enough of each other. I can't really get enough of their cute faces either.

Crew tickling the sea anemones
Hmm, makes for a pretty cool picture even if you don't totally follow the sign.

What a beautiful place! We had a great weekend with the Reese's and drove home this afternoon to mostly blue skies (still a little smoke coming from the mountains) and much cooler weather! Thanks again Maren and Cam for letting come there to escape and for such a fun weekend!
On a side note, we moved Crew into his big bed the night we got back from Arizona a few weeks ago. He loves his big bed. Everything now is about him being a big boy and he frequently tells me that he is bigger. Well, my big boy is a very busy sleeper, so Matt made some bed rails for us to put on the sides of his bed. I sewed some fabric to cover them so Crew's bed is really just a gigantic crib! Amazingly, one night a couple weeks ago I woke up in the middle of the night hearing Crew kind of crying. I went into his room but could not see him. Finally, I saw he had somehow managed to fall out of 8 inch space at the top of his bed and was lying face first in his toy bin still kind of asleep. It was hard not to laugh but seriously, this kid is one crazy sleeper!
